Tuivuna Dominates in Testing Conditions to Win Fiji Golf Club Open

Tomasi Tuivuna produced a commanding performance to win the Fiji Golf Club Open, finishing on 71 and leaving the rest of the field seven shots behind at the Fiji Golf Club.

Two weeks of persistent rain had left the course soft and heavy, with wet fairways, slower greens and unpredictable lies. Low scores were hard to find all [day/weekend], but Tuivuna made it look manageable. His 71 stood well clear of the field, a reflection of the control and composure he showed in conditions that troubled many others.

Arvind Lal finished second on 78, a solid effort on a course that was playing tough, but he could not close the gap on the champion.

There was a good turnout for the event, and the strong attendance despite the weather shows the passion of Fiji's golfing community. Fiji PGA thanks the players, volunteers, sponsors and the Fiji Golf Club staff for their work in preparing the course and running the event in such wet conditions.
